| Well, I must bring to your attention that if you wanted to buy a rug at this size, condition, patten, and age from a high end retail store , don't be surprised that you see a price tag of $100,000,00 & up.. Rugs like tis at this size don't come around very often, could come in a rectangle mansion size but mansion size in square could be one in 5000 very close to impossible unless modify a huge one into a square size. But this rug is a one piece almost square 20' x 22'. Sometime, it happens that there are many buyers out there who are looking for something like this but they have an obstacle on their way, which is the price. I spotted this in from a ranch Montecito, CA . The mansion inside of the ranch was about 25000 SF & this rug was laid down in their dinning room, that's why has maintained in good condition and still has decent pile. This rug was made in city of Agra in India, most of these rungs were made by British merchants for western market specially in United States because Europeans houses are very small but you only could find mansions or houses for this size carpets mostly in U.S.. The best news is that I am offering this rug at way below wholesale because the dealer to dealer price would be something between $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 & of course retail is way more than that. Also, if I had a client for something like this and wanted to get it as a consignment from an associates , price could be easily 50 k because consignment price always is more than the ale price. I am offering it at $24,999.00 , which is an absolute give away.and I am offering free shipping < shipping cost foe a huge rug like this easily could cost between $500.00 to $600. It is made of wool on cotton foundation . |
