Antique pictorial Kirman rugs from the late 19th to early 20th century (roughly 1870–1930) are among the most celebrated narrative carpets in rug weaving. Produced in the city of Kirman (and nearby villages such as Ravar) in southeastern part of the country, these rugs are famous for their finely woven, story-telling compositions that depict scenes from Persian history, mythology, poetry, and royal courts. it rarely happens that this kind of pictorial lavars come as a pair. When I got the pair they needed some restoration, I sent them out of the country for resoration. I did spend goom momey but at the end it was well worth it. Now both are invery good condition without any flaws and repais are not visible at all because it was done by an expert.
