An Antique Palatial Size 12’x15’ Persian Sultanabad Area Rug

Here, I am offering an absolute beauty, a more
than century old Genuine Sultanabad Mahal. Yes, genuine. Usually, when we find
these Sultanabad rugs, must do some restoration minor or major but in this case
besides getting it cleaned I didn't have to do anything else because this
beauty amazingly in a very good shape. Most of these Sultanabad’s were ordered
by an Englishman rug merchant whose name was Ziglar. He opened an office in
city of Sultanabad back in 1880 where today is called Arak and is a providence.
Most of Sultanabad’s patterns are influenced by English Arts & crafts,
and some traditional classic design like this one but there is
another type, which is called Ziglar, those also with Arts & Crafts, some
with geometric pattern & different technique in weave. Unlike most of the
rugs that were dominated with reds & blue, Sultanabad rugs are well known for their earthy tone color combination,
which applies on this rug that I am offering here. As you see, it has a
gorgeous light blue background & nice soft rust in the main borders. This
type of color combination only could be found in these rugs or
reproductions that are the replicas of these rugs. Sultanabad rugs are among
the most expensive luxury rugs, they were sold in 6 figures in late
1990's and first decade of 2000. Something like this could go between
$30,000.00 & $40,000.00 but since the market has shifted
towards modern look, rugs like this have become even more affordable.
Remember fashion eventually goes out of style but traditional & genuine
vintage contemporary always come with class & value. I was able
to buy this rug at the very reasonable price, and I'm so happy that I can share
it with my online buyers at the price, which nowhere in the world could be
found. Besides, it’s phenomenal condition for its age, & low prices, it
measures 12' x 15', which is over size category , that adds up 25% more to the value.
