Wow, what a magnificent piece of art. Usually Folk Art American hooked rugs come in smaller piece sucg 2' x 3' but in this size, is very unusual. This hooked rug is signed by the person who made it, entail" EWA" , also there are some names in the back such as Norris G. Abotte & Moli Gui. This hooked rugs was made with the Shredded fabrics on Burlap foundation & it was made in 1940's. The subject is so cute Mother Elephant with her Cob, and the hooker did a phenomenal jobs with Elephants. It measures 41" x 59" or 3'-5" x 4'-11". It is in good condition for its age,
