Since, Persian & other type of oriental rugs were high demand back in 1929’s & 1930’s , rug merchandise couldn’t keep up with imports , therefore , decided to start producing some of Persian , Caucasian, and Turkoman pattern domestically with their technique in countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Balkans. Germany & Switzerland produced with hooked technique but Austria & Balkan did use the similar wear. Germany called their production TeTex,( must confess that use the color combination even better than originals made in Persia & other countries.
